The Sixth Sense: Trust your instincts
"Through the aid of the sixth sense, you will be alerted of oncoming dangers in time to escape them, and notified of opportunities in time to embrace them," Hill adds.
While this isn't the most obvious idea – Hill acknowledges it usually
takes till the age of 40 to achieve it – his main point is that your
intuition will change. You'll have attained a degree of wisdom that will
help you to naturally make wise financial and life decisions.
However, the practise of following your gut is rarely as
straightforward as the expression implies, particularly when certain
habits and circumstances tug us forcefully and often unintentionally in
the opposite direction. Fortunately, our intuition is so deeply innate
that even if we've been disconnected from it for our entire lives, it's
still inside of us, waiting for us to summon its wisdom.
Remember that trusting your intuition is a journey that will take you back through these phases as circumstances change and life progresses. Consider your intuition to be a muscle that needs to be worked on. It will become more powerful and perform its purpose—guiding you home to yourself—with purposeful practise and frequent application.
