Avoid Being Arrogant
“True humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.” C.S. Lewis
Arrogance has a negative impact on interpersonal interactions.
Arrogance is a characteristic that is both rewarded and
penalised. We appreciate successful people because they
always win regardless of the circumstances. Even if it
means slamming their competition. When the arrogant
wins, no one seems to care what they leave in their
path.
"Be successful" has become our catchphrase. You
must always demonstrate that you are superior to
everyone else. That is why arrogance is rewarded – it is
part of the job of winning. What you leave behind,
though, is not just the people you beat; you also
sacrifice your integrity. For our arrogance, we all pay
a great price.
Avoid feeling or behaving superior to others when your confidence rises and you become successful. Remember, no one is perfect, and there is always more to learn. Recognize and celebrate your strengths and successes while also acknowledging your weaknesses and mistakes. Give others credit for their efforts by using genuine praises and appreciation. Be kind and polite, take an interest in what people are doing, ask questions, and participate.
Accept your flaws and prepare to laugh at yourself!
