In fact, extroversion has little to do with confidence. Introverts and extroverts can both be extremely
confident. Every one of us, at any one time, has access to confidence. It's the stories we tell ourselves that
make it less accessible.
Being an introvert or an extrovert has no bearing on your level of self-assurance. Confidence can manifest
itself in a variety of ways. It's not enough to walk into a room full of people and be able to socialise with
everyone. For some, confidence might be defined as the decision to be alone.
Being an extrovert does not automatically imply being self-assured. You might be an uneasy extrovert as well as a
confident introvert. Most people feel that being an extrovert is required to be confident because we equate
being an extrovert with being the centre of attention or the life of the party. But being the most chatty person
in the room isn't the only way to show confidence. It's about feeling at ease in your own skin and being proud
of your accomplishments in life.
